The Project
Co-Sharing – Models in Cultural Institutions
How can theaters share their knowledge and resources in order to remain future-proof? The Lower Saxony State Theater Hannover (NSH) is developing concrete strategies within the framework of the program to put this into practice. With the establishment of a practice-oriented Performing Arts Academy, not only will knowledge transfer be secured, but the theater will also actively address the shortage of skilled professionals. At the same time, NSH is working on concepts to open its workshops to external stakeholders and to implement an AI-supported cataloging of its repertory and inventory – steps toward greater transparency, efficiency, and collaborative working.
The goal: a strongly networked theater that shares what it has – know-how, spaces, responsibility – and in doing so, becomes a model for sustainable cultural practice.
