Teresa Koloma Beck:
Global Conflicts in Organisational Everyday Life: Between Vulnerabilities, (Anti-)Discrimination and Political Conflict

In her lecture, Teresa Koloma Beck, Professor of Sociology with a focus on social analysis and social change at Helmut Schmidt University / University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg, highlighted how global political conflicts are increasingly shaping the everyday working lives of cultural and academic institutions. Events that are geographically distant can nevertheless generate a strong sense of emotional proximity and personal involvement for many people, due to family, biographical and professional ties. Cultural institutions, in particular, face distinct challenges in this regard. Koloma Beck explains why in the video.
